Production Financial Aid

How to submit

LE CHAT DU RABBIN
Le Chat du Rabbin - Joan Sfar & Antoine Delesvaux

First Feature-Length Films

Since 1999 the Foundation has exclusively assisted first feature-length fiction projects (director's first film).

Three sessions will be provided in 2010.

Two Selection Panels will choose five to six projects.

Each selected project receives a financial package of 67,600 euros with 60,000 euros going to the producer and 7,600 euros shared between the director and authors(s) of the film script (in accordance with their pre-established contracts).

The producer receives the 60,000 € in two installments: 30,000 € upon receipt of proof of expenses (pre-production), and 30,000 € on the first day of shooting.

The director and authors(s) of the film script receive the 7,600 € directly following the Selection Panel results.

Submission and Examination of Applications

Applications must be submitted by feature film production companies residing in France, for either a French production or an international co-production (in which case the French production company must be the majority co-producer).

During the application examination period the film must not go into production or already have been filmed.

The next three application deadlines are:

January 6th, May 3rd and September 15th 2010
.

It is a two-phased selection process: 1) pre-selection and 2) final selection with an appointed Selection Panel.

Any project not selected may be submitted a second time; it must however be rewritten or contain new elements relating to production or filming.

The same producer may submit only one project application per session and receive only one financial aid package per year.
